Marie Fritz Perry has worked as a portrait artist for many years. Marie enjoys applying her knowledge and extensive background in human portraiture with her lifelong understanding of the equine figure, spirit, and natural beauty. Marie Fritz Perry specializes in commissioned equine portraits of riders and horses as well as the dogs they love. Her own experience in the show ring with her show horse has allowed her to understand not only the mindset of the rider, but also the beauty and power of the anatomy and personality of the horse which is captured in her art.
Marie believes that “if her clients can dream it, she can paint it.” Working as an illustrator for many years has allowed Marie to hone her ability to work from many reference photos to create scenes on paper and canvas that no photograph could produce.
Marie believes in showcasing your equine or canine memory with a one-of-a-kind customized portrait. She works in oil, pastel, or color pencil depending upon your desire. What better way to honor your relationship with your horse or dog than with a custom portrait?
Marie is not breed specific when it comes to the horses or dogs she renders. She also accepts art commissions in any style of riding including, but not limited to, dressage, hunter/jumper, western, saddle seat, sport horse, and rodeo event riding. She welcomes your questions and inquiries.
